The Winter 2026 kicks off with
Dudley Shumate (USA) — a highly respected coach and competitor with over 30 years in the sport, multiple World Team appearances, and numerous international medals.

Dudley travels across North America teaching and mentoring teams at every level, and is widely known for her depth of knowledge, clarity in training, and ability to develop both dogs and handlers.

This season, Dudley is bringing her experience directly into Agility Kickoff through exclusive interviews, conversations, and original training content.

She is designing unique, super-fun challenges inspired by her own training style — including areas she believes deserve more focus, and skills she sees becoming increasingly important in the future of the sport.

Members will gain access to video and audio interviews where Dudley dives into the current state of agility, how she views and handles failure in training, and how to navigate your training strategically — whether you are a competitor, an instructor, or both. She also shares valuable insight for current coaches, offering perspective from decades of developing teams.

Throughout the season, Dudley explores her favorite skills to train, her thoughts on overtraining, the use of rewards and motivation, how to be intentional and strategic with reinforcement, and her perspective on agility as a true team sport.

We’ve had an absolute blast recording interviews and podcast episodes with Dudley — the conversations have been insightful, honest, funny, and packed with perspective. This is truly a feature you don’t want to miss.

There is something in this season for everyone — from high-level competitors and coaches, to newer teams, to those who are simply curious about the sport and want to start understanding agility in a deeper way.
