ABOUT US

Aaron Froude

Lead Instructor

I began playing agility in 2010! I remember my first ever agility class, with my first agility dog Ace, and still my superstar, and I, did not know anything…though, we both thought we knew everything!

Despite this, Ace & I, were both eager to learn and we soaked up every piece of information made available! After some time, I attended my first agility trial. I lived in Newfoundland at the time and there was only two trials per year, which was nowhere near enough to feed my new addiction! After a short time of hard work and learning, I travelled to my first away trial in Truro, NS. During this trial, Ace and I won Top Open Dog. I’d be lying if I denied that this, of course, felt amazing!

I began to travel near and far to trial and to train. From within Canada, USA and England, and from the experience of my instructors at home, I continued to try and gain knowledge. Nothing was stopping me now, I was clearly hooked and there was no turning back! In June 2014, the decision was made to move to New Brunswick. The main inspiration…agility! And in September 2014 it was made a reality! Since moving to New Brunswick agility has taken over my life.

Competition Experience

I have been competing across the country since starting agility. I have competed at multiple National & International competitions and attended the World Agility Championships in 2018 & 2019 as Team Coach.

Coaching Experience

I began teaching classes just shortly after starting agility, while officially starting to coach students just a few years after that.
Ive been travelling for several years, near & far, instructing workshops of every topic. Currently I have had hundreds of students who take part in 1on1 coaching and/or online courses through my online platform. This includes agility teams of all accross the world.

Joe Boudreau

Instructor

My agility addiction all started the summer of 2018 after traveling to Newfoundland with Aaron to watch a trial he was judging. From that moment, agility has become all I can think about.

I began with instruction from Aaron, playing in our yard with Jazz. Jazz is our, at the time, 8-year-old girl, who was already fully trained in agility and therefore my perfect first team mate. It was an honour to be able to run her. She kept me humble in my learning, as she required clear and concise handling, teaching me very quickly what mistakes I was making and pushing me to learn. The following summer Jazz and I qualified and competed at AAC Nationals.

In May 2019, we welcomed Link into our life. Link is my first ever puppy, and we hit the ground running. We travelled as much as COVID-19 allowed us, gaining as much ring exposure as possible. At the age of 2 years old Link had shown me she has so much potential, by winning the NB\PEI Regionals and NB\PEI Top Rookie 2021, Biathlon Winner at the 2021 UKI Atlantic Classic and showing off her skills while competing at the 2021 US Open in Jacksonville, Florida.

I have a special interest in course design and course analysis. I teach our in-person course analysis class. Which I find very rewarding, exposing competitors to different handling choices and learning to make choices that are best for their team.

In Spring of 2020, I became a UKI Judge and also the UKI Canada, Atlantic Representative.
My passion to the sport of agility has given me the drive to grow as a handler for Link, and to help grow the sport in my course design, by pushing handlers outside their comfort zones, by designing challenges in my courses, which require handlers to trust their training.

Our Dogs

ABBY

Abby, born April 2008, is our oldest girl and Queen of the house. Abby is a mix breed and the only one of our dogs that is actually a Newfoundlander!

Abby has never competed in agility, though was trained on the equipment and happy to run a course in our yard, as long as it means getting lots of pieces of cheese! She never did develop a love for the sport and would only complete what I asked, because I was asking, and not because she loved what she was doing.
Abby loves to explore our property and go on all our hikes with everyone else, though equally loves her chair at our dining room table and pillow on our bed, where she spends much of her days.

ACE

Ace, a border collie, born March 2009, was Aaron’s first ever agility dog. Ace immediately from day 1 of class 1, developed a love for the sport of agility.

Ace & I have medalled at numerous regional and National competitions throughout his life. Ace continues to surpass my expectations, while now at greater than 10 years old, runs as smooth as ever and continues to outrun dogs on course, more than half his age.

Ace is a gentle soul, loving everyone and everything!

JAZZ

Jazz, a border collie, born March 2010, was Aaron’s second agility dog. Jazz has always been the brains to the family. Smarter than the average border collie, she can be taught any new behaviour in a matter of minutes, however equally as quick, outsmart you and create new rules to whatever game we are playing.

Jazz has always had some social anxiety and stressed often when entering the ring. Though, she is a loyal dog and gentle soul, and whenever asked and without hesitation, would step to the line in any environment and run any course.

THEORY

Theory, a border collie, born January 2013, was Aaron’s third agility dog. Theory puts his heart and soul into everything he does. From the hikes on our property, his swims in the river and of course the sport of agility. He is the type of dog who must be the one with the toy, the one ahead of the group, and also the one closest to you on the couch.

Theory is a joy to be around and a joy to run in agility. His passion for the sport pushes away any and all frustrations, that his lack of caring for how many bars or wings he might knock down on course, creates.

LINK

Link, born March 2019, is the second youngest in our family, but we expect always a puppy at heart!
Link is Joe’s first agility dog. She is a thoughtful, fast, and biddable girl. Always ready to play, she learned very quickly her joy for working and for the sport of agility. Because of the joy she has for the sport, she has been an ease to teach any skill and due to her thoughtfulness, learns any behaviour quickly and with her confidence, nothing shakes her.

Link, if given the choice, would never leave Theory’s side, they are truly best friends. If at any point Link is not nearby, call to Theory, and she is just inches behind.

CRAVE

Crave, born December 2019, is the youngest in our family and Aaron's next agility partner. Crave entered our family at 8 weeks old, and we quickly learned that she would be a great family pet and an amazing agility dog.
Crave learned the joy of playing with Aaron very quickly, showing amazing focus and brains, and a natural skill for sport of agility. She is thoughtful, fun, and a personality like no other.
Crave is connected at the hip to her full sister, and best friend, Link. If you wonder where Crave is, simply call for Link, and Crave will be immediately behind.

Crave dived into FlatOut Dogs with all 4 paws, and now is the focus of two online courses - Core Puppy Foundations & SKills to Perfection. She has shown a love for the camera, but mostly importantly, a love for showing off her skills.
